Privacy Policy — Cursor Skool Buddy

Last updated: May 28, 2026

Cursor Skool Buddy is an unofficial community tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Cursor Inc. or Skool.

This policy describes how the Cursor Skool Buddy browser extension (“the extension”) handles information when you use its chat feature on the Cursor Skool community on Skool.

What we collect

What we do not collect in our application database

Messages are not linked to your Skool account in our systems. We cannot tell which community member sent a given message.

Information you may choose to share

You may include personal or sensitive information in chat text voluntarily. Please avoid sharing information you do not want stored. We cannot locate or delete “your” conversations because messages are anonymous in our database.

How we use the data

We use chat content to answer your questions, improve the assistant’s responses over time (including operator review of conversations), and operate the service. The extension does not show chat history after you close the chat panel.

Service providers

Messages are processed and stored using third-party services:

Those providers may log or process data under their own policies. We do not control their retention or security practices.

Retention

We have not published a fixed retention period for stored messages. We may retain chat data until it is deleted as part of normal operation or maintenance.

Your choices

Children

The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the extension after changes means you accept the updated policy.
